Nissan TEKTON Drives into India Book of Records…
Kolkata, August 4, 2026: Nissan Motor India has entered the India Book of Records after 60 all-new Nissan TEKTON premium SUVs completed the largest convoy of a single-model four-wheeler to reach Leh. The five-day expedition covered over 700 km, travelling from Chandigarh through Manali and Shinku La Pass before culminating in Leh, successfully navigating challenging highways, mountain roads, changing weather and high-altitude terrain.
The record-setting drive showcased the capability, durability and engineering of the all-new Nissan TEKTON under demanding real-world conditions. Driven by media representatives and industry experts, the convoy highlighted the SUV’s ability to perform consistently across diverse terrains while celebrating Nissan’s 75-year legacy of SUV excellence.Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “Entering the India Book of Records with the all-new Nissan TEKTON is a proud moment for Nissan Motor India and a fitting celebration of our 75-year SUV excellence… Sixty TEKTON SUVs successfully completed a demanding Himalayan drive, demonstrating the vehicle’s capability, durability and engineering strength in real-world conditions.”Manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant under the “One Car, One World” philosophy, the all-new Nissan TEKTON is built for Indian customers as well as export markets, including the Middle East and Africa. Bookings are open across Nissan’s nationwide retail and digital network, with customer deliveries having commenced on 20 July 2026.
