Kolkata, April 17, 2026: Lay’s®, a brand long associated with iconic potato chips and memorable flavour experiences in India, has unveiled its latest innovation—Lay’s® Mini Stix, marking its first-ever stick-format potato snack in the country.

Blending its strong potato heritage with changing consumer preferences, Lay’s® Mini Stix is designed to bridge familiarity with novelty. The product reimagines a classic savoury format using Lay’s® signature potato base, delivering a crunchy, playful snacking experience that feels both recognisable and refreshingly new. By combining the comfort of traditional Indian snacks with the brand’s established taste and quality, Lay’s® aims to expand its relevance across evolving consumption occasions.

Tailored for modern, on-the-go lifestyles, Lay’s® Mini Stix comes in fusion-inspired masala flavours and introduces the brand’s first horizontal, palmable pack format in India—making it convenient, easy to scoop, and ideal for sharing. Available at accessible price points, the product caters to both individual and group snacking moments.

Commenting on the launch, Saakshi Verma Menon, Chief Marketing Officer – Foods, PepsiCo India, noted that the company’s strategy is rooted in “reading the pulse of the consumer,” adding that Lay’s® Mini Stix reflects an effort to “reimagine our iconic potato heritage… to capture entirely new snacking occasions.”

Aastha Bhasin, Marketing Director – Potato Chips Category, PepsiCo India, added, “We wanted to take something consumers already enjoy and elevate it the Lay’s® way… delivering a new texture and a more intense crunch.”

The product will initially launch in East India at INR 5 and INR 10 price points, with a phased rollout planned across North and West India, enabling the brand to build regional traction while scaling nationally.
