ICSE topper SHAHAN SAIGAL wants to become an IAS officer…

I have chosen the Commerce stream in Class 11, St. James’ School because I believe in having both ambition and practicality. My primary goal is to become an IAS officer, as I want to serve the nation and contribute to society through administration and leadership.

However, I also believe that successful people always keep a strong Plan B.
Life is unpredictable, and while I am fully dedicated to my dream of becoming an IAS officer, it is important to have another solid career path as a backup.

Commerce gives me that balance. It helps me build knowledge in finance, business, management, and economics, which are valuable in every field. Even if my first goal does not work out as planned, I will still have a strong professional foundation and career opportunities ahead of me.

For me, choosing Commerce was not about changing my dream, but about strengthening my future with smart planning and responsibility.

My school was extremely happy and proud of my result. My teachers congratulated me and appreciated the consistency and discipline I maintained throughout the academic year. They always believed in my potential and kept motivating me to aim higher.

The principal and my subject teachers were especially pleased because they had seen my dedication, both in academics and in extracurricular activities. They told me that this result reflects not only hard work but also patience, focus, and self-belief.

My school has always supported me like a second home, and their encouragement played a very important role in my journey. Their reaction made this achievement even more special for me because appreciation from your mentors always feels meaningful.
