AAMAR METROKOLKATAPRESS RELEASEEYE CHECK-UP AND BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANISED ON INTERNATIONAL LABOUR DAY

Kolkata, May 1, 2026: On the occasion of International Labour Day, a Free Eye Check-up Camp along with a Blood Donation Camp was organised today at Dum Dum Metro Railway station.The initiative was taken by staff union namely Metro Railway Men’s Union led by Shri Sujit Ghosh who himself was one of the donors This camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from railway staff, passengers as well as general public.

Around 96 individuals benefited from the free eye check-up camp.The blood donation camp also saw encouraging response, with 50 donors voluntarily donated blood. Among the enthusiastic donors were senior railway officials including Shri S. S. Kannan, Secretary to General Manager and Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Dipto Saha, Dy. Chief Operations Manager (O&M). Metro passengers also came forward and donated blood.
